I have taken over and will henceforth reign as Queen Sopranie!

..Just kidding :D

Apparently the password hasn't changed since we set up the blog (yeah we're the pioneer batch)!

SO.
Your beloved ex ex ex SL is here to brighten up your day with a post! If you aren't sure who I am do look at the bottom right hand corner under 'EXCHORISTERS', Soprano 1 and you should be able to find my name which happens to be the last one on the list. Alternatively, you could ask Mariko or Juniper dearest or Yingtian if she isn't busy with her exams or any of the seniors really.

Enough about me.
I'm here to promote ACJC's open house which falls on the 8th of October!

But wait, you say?
What's this got to do with choir?

Well ACJC's got one of the best choirs at JC level. You can just wiki them and you'll get this:

'The ACJC Choir is the four-time winner of the Singapore Youth Festival Choir of the YearBest Junior College Choir title (2003, 2001, 1997, 1995). In 2005, the choir was awarded the coveted Gold with Honours award in the Singapore Youth Festival, sealing its dominance over the choral scene with a near-monopoly of the nation's highest choral awards from 1989 to 2005. The Choir achieved the Gold award at the 2007 SYF Central Judging. award (1997, 1995, 1993, 1989) ...

Most recently in June 2008, the Anglo-Chinese Junior College Choir emerged as the only choir with 3 Gold medals at the 3rd Festa Choralis International Choir Competition in Bratislava, Slovakia. As the only Asian choir at the competition, the ACJC Choir competed alongside choirs from Poland, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Russia and Slovakia in the Mixed Choir (Adult), Youth Choir (up to 19 years old) and Folk Song Categories. In all 3 categories, the ACJC Choir clinched gold medals with top marks and was the only choir in the competition whom the adjudicators accorded a rare perfect score of 100 points.

The Choir also organises the annual concert An Evening With Friends, and performs regularly at both community and ministerial events.'

And, if you're interested, Nathan Hartono is this year's President.

So, be it the choir, the school or the President that you want to see, make it a point to come down to ACJC on the 8th of October :D

It's awesome to see you guys so devoted to the choir so keep singing your hearts out! Make choir an experience you know you'll never forget. I know our batch cherished those precious years (:
