Hello, you are currently tuned in to Teryne's first post on this blog. She will be covering a variety of topics such as reminders and a confession of her secret role behind her Discipline/Vice-President facade.
Alright, let's get serious now.
Today, we all made a promise. Now, while humour had been injected into the promise to make sure you guys wouldn't protest too much, the contents of it are very much serious. Let me recap some of them:
- Focus - This is very important. You may be tired after lessons, but it gives no excuse to stone/blank out during choir. However focused you are during lessons, is how you should be during choir.
- No talking - the only exceptions to this rule are 1) we call upon you to repeat our points or 2) you have to clarify stuff about the particular song we're singing.
- Look through your scores at home - Exams are over, so studying should not be an issue. There should be time for you to look through your scores at least once in between each choir practice. Make sure you come for each practice prepared and armed with score-knowledge.
And another point: cooperate with the leaders (Music and/or Exco). We do everything out of love for the choir and because we want to help everyone sing better.
If perhaps you feel uncomfortable with what we ask you to do then do tell us so that we can try to help and maybe come up with an alternative method for whatever it is. Don't keep it in. We're not psychic, so we can't see into your mind and read your thoughts (or is that telepathy?).
Other reminders:
- Bring $60 for the tickets. Also bring $5 for the choker if you haven't already paid to April today.
- Monday practice is from 2.30pm - 6.30pm at the AVT. Ms Ong will only be coming in at 4.30 though, so make sure the first 2 hours are productive ones so that she doesn't have to waste too much time when she comes in.
- Remember to bring the scores that you need! There'll be a fine of 50cents if you don't!
- Complete your programme sheet designs by Monday, latest 11.59pm at night. You can either submit in hard copy or soft copy to Ariel/Lixin/me (GUO YANYI ARIEL/ICHIGE TERYNE MARIKO/TAN LIXIN - that's if you're submitting a soft copy).
Alright, and now my secret role is that of a...
Disciple Queen Sopranie! Never saw that coming, did you? :D
Well, I shall end here.
36 days to concert! C'mon c'mon, we can do it!
8:57 PM SINGING IS OUR PASSION ♥;
